The town’s chronicle from Silk Road trade to the Soviet era: coins, weapons and silk looms. The collection is built for unhurried viewing: each hall tells its own story and introduces one more layer of Azerbaijani culture.

Alongside the permanent exhibition there are temporary shows, guided tours and educational programmes for children. Guided visits can be booked in advance; check the photography rules at the entrance.

Sheki History Museum is in Sheki at M.Ə.Rəsulzadə küçəsi, Şəki. Entry is inexpensive (level ₼). Many museums close on Mondays — check opening hours before you go, and allow one to two hours for a full visit.
